AI leaders therefore need more than ambitious forecasts. They need downside scenarios that answer a less exciting question: what happens if growth is spectacular, but slightly less spectacular than expected?

Which is the greater risk today: investing too slowly in AI infrastructure, or scaling before the economics are proven?
