Great analysis! I was there and it was amazing to see how well the tiered architecture worked and more importantly how advanced India’s indigenous hardware and software defence tech is now.

When I left yesterday, my parents went back to our village that is next to Pathankot base. That is the level of confidence (built in first night of attack) that every Indian in border areas have on the tech. I kept on asking them to stay in Chandigarh but they chose to go back next to the hot area.

Utterly confused with what is being thrown at us and what is being hidden? I am sure many of us are. No definite answers but a few thoughts;
1. One angle being played up is that of #nukes. Even I had pointed out the possibility in the post being reposted below. Mulla Munir was certainly desperate. But was there really a nuke-related #earthquake? Technical parameters (depth and seismic graphs) don't align with those of a typical nuke test, as per a few experts.
2. china angle. china came out in open support only after the cessation of firing agreement was done; not before that. Isn't it a typical chinese deception or tendency to win a war of narratives?
3. #MEA briefing last night was a dampener. In this subcontinent, such a stance is seen as a weakness. Undoubtedly, all the briefings have been similar.
4. LC remained hot, things happened in #Nagrota and elsewhere, and blasts were being reported from #Amritsar through the night.
5. Our strikes and drone activities inside porkistan continued even after the presser.
So, what is it?
A-If nuke and/or china angles are true, are we in for a perpetual blackmail while porkis will do whatever they want to do?
B-Has Bharat deliberately decided to showcase its noble intent through meek press statements while carrying on with its original plan of deliberate degradation of porki military capabilities?
C-Or having accepted point A as a new normal, is Bharat planning something really big to break the shackles after pleading through last night's presser?
D-Or has Bharat stopped after achieving whatever was planned (irrespective of popular aspirations like taking back #PoJK or breaking porkistan) and whatever punishment had to be delivered to porkis? The fact that this govt has a record of poor communications when it comes to putting across its point (#Farmbills to #waqfamendmentact) may actually be the reason that we remain unconvinced? On the other hand, were the press briefs kept deliberately low key to ensure our aspirations don't become too ambitious even though people, looking at actions rather than press statements, kept upscaling their dreams? The suddenness of decision to go for the cessation, however, contradicts such a view to a large extent.
SO...
There is certainly a dense fog and a resultant disgruntlement. Personally, I am OK with a temporary cessation as long as our pre-decided objectives have been achieved. But I am not comfortable if nuke-china angle turns out to be true. Coming days and weeks will possibly give us indicators; the government is not likely to clear the air.
Uncertainty, unfortunately, is likely to continue.
Keeping faith (govt knows more than us) is one option, though not the only one.
