These are the same men who marry four wives, have thirty children on zero income, and then push those kids onto the streets with a plastic bowl to beg for food. They tell themselves "God will provide," using religion to hide their own laziness and failure as parents.
Let's preach the real Islam for once. In Islam, children are an Amana, a sacred trust from God, not a product to manufacture and abandon.
Our religion explicitly commands fathers to provide food, shelter, and a good education. Somewhere along the line, some extreme local preachers convinced people that having a crowd of starving children is a spiritual achievement badge.
Northern Nigeria is already struggling with heavy poverty; we do not need more neglected kids on the streets. Children need healthcare, food, and schools, and you cannot pay for those with spiritual vibes.
Having children is a great blessing, but if you can only afford to take care of two, please lock the production factory there.
