One of the smartest and most wonderful women I know has a new article out. Hurry up and read it before your neighbour if you like beautiful pottery and new applications of network analysis! #archaeology
I KNOW we’re being environmentally conscious but honestly these tiny wooden spoons are ridiculous. They could at least have a handle long enough to not get yoghurt all over your hands 🫠
As part of my upcoming Starting Grant funded by @DFF_raad, I'm hiring a postdoc interested in isotopes to begin May 2025!
Please share, and contact me or find me at hashtag #AGU24 if you have any questions.

ALL my stuff is 40% off for the entire month.
If you need some imperfections textures, super realistic flashlights, or some fun subpixel texture maps, this is the time.
#Archaeobotany twitter, does this look familiar to anyone? I have a bunch of these in one of my waterlogged Mesolithic samples. I feel like they give off pedicel vibes and they look very characteristic, but nobody seems to know what they are and which species!
@ARCHAEOfelix It's from a submerged sites in Horsens Fjord! And with SEM it should potentially be possible to get to species level, but with what I've got here I can't say much more than it is likely bast. Other known finds from the period are often poplar / willow. Could also be linden.
My job is generally pretty damn fantastic, but some days are even better than others. Yesterday was fabulous as I got to meet this beauty. Twine / yarn made of plant fibre by human hands more than 7000 years ago. #archaeobotany highlights 😍😭
Update! 📝 doi/10.3828/hgr.2024.15
