Calls for hate crime charges have grown as an incident involving a 21 year old Sikh international student being attacked by a group of a dozen white males in Kelowna is being investigated by police. His dastaar was removed & he was dragged by his hair.

The FBI released its 2021 Hate Crimes Statistics & Anti-Sikh incidents accounted for 21.3% of the 1,005 reported religious hate crimes, second only to Anti-Jewish. Anti-Hindu incidents accounted for 1%.

By population ratio, Sikhs are by far the most impacted community in USA.
