So great to see the difference that the Growing Communities fund is making. Not only is the White Tower Park beautiful, it also helps reduce the risk of flooding! The @TownofGibsons has incredible advocates in Mayor @SilasWhite & MLA @NicholasSimons 🙌
Fantastic to visit with Mayor @SilasWhite and see firsthand how @TownofGibsons used their Growing Communities Fund to upgrade White Tower Park and their wastewater treatment plant.
The fund is making a difference for people across BC - thanks Premier @Dave_Eby and @AnneKangMLA!
Back in Gibsons to open 40 new homes & break ground on 33 more!
The next phase is a #BCBuilds project to build middle-income homes & 43 child care spaces
Thanks to @TownofGibsons@SilasWhite@PatrickBWeiler & Sunshine Coast Affordable Housing Society

What Mayor @silaswhite said!👉"Affordable housing is the most critical challenge in our community, so we appreciate the provincial government’s support and collaboration, [this] will go a long way to addressing our housing and workforce needs.” #BCBuilds https://t.co/QpJCm1CPbJ
@Khelsilem Looks like Crown-Indigenous relations is less of a priority than it has been for some time… Maybe because this is an election cabinet and as @Puglaas has written, political parties don’t consider there to be a payoff in votes/polls.
@PJNewWest Took me a few reads of this tweet to understand the outcome, but congrats on leading a Council that is advancing supportive housing! Too bad about the minority, but lots to be positive about here...
@profbenperrin@CBCEarlyEdition@elenoresturko Aha hence my confusion. They used to be called “critics,” which I feel is more fair and accurate. But I do see the federal and provincial opposition have now anointed themselves as “shadow ministers,” which is absurd. They’re not ministers in any way…
@profbenperrin@CBCEarlyEdition@elenoresturko Counter fact check: did you just say on radio that it was the MINISTER not being able to read a report? I tuned in partway through & am confused…
