new york software startups don’t know what cursor is

sf software startups don’t know how to talk like a human

build a team that has both and you have a significant edge

[Palmer Luckey @PalmerLuckey]

As far as I know, there has never been a real postmortem on the whole "$99 computers will pull the Third World out of poverty" bit that pretty much everyone in tech treated as serious for at least a decade.

It moved from WIRED covers, TED talks, and UN proclamations to silence.

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

@frantzfries @signulll Bingo!

[pash @pashmerepat]

Interesting. When you use Gemini CLI all your code is used to train their models

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

@pashmerepat 😮

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

Silatus Grid lets you run multiple models simultaneously to compare their results - empowering your amazing human brain to learn, analyze, and draw independent conclusions. 3/3

In AI chats, we have a strange habit of asking questions that don't have a precise answer and just taking the AI at face value. "How should I go about X?" "What do you think of Y?"

In the real world... 🧵 1/3

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

...we usually ask multiple people, analyze different sources, and come to our own conclusions based on the information provided. 2/3

[Anthropic @AnthropicAI]

New Anthropic Research: Agentic Misalignment.

In stress-testing experiments designed to identify risks before they cause real harm, we find that AI models from multiple providers attempt to blackmail a (fictional) user to avoid being shut down.

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

Companies that charge per-employee ONLY make money based on the number of HUMANS using their products. Companies that train foundation models also earn from AUTOMATION. As long as their models are running, they make money.

Invest in platforms that ALWAYS put workers first.

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

@turchin @burkov Poe’s great! Silatus is cheaper in many circumstances.

[Silatus @SilatusAI]

@burkov There are alternatives that will put you first! 😊

@BenPielstick @DaveShapi AI costs money. Robots cost money. The value of all human labor will not go to zero.
