@Niall_Boylan I absolutely agree that our all students need to be back in school in September. However, this needs to be done in a safe and controlled manner.
1 approach could be to do a half and half blended. Thus allowing for students to settle in and also to see how the virus responds.

If a school cannot provide physical distancing in a classroom due to high pupil teacher ratios, then schools can explore satellite classes (remote learning within the school).
I can already hear the complaints from parents as their child missed X classes in 1 day!

I wonder would you have prepared a Plan B for the opening of schools.

Outdoor gatherings no more than 15 people.
Indoor gatherings no more than 6.
But 1200 allowed indoors in our school. These will be in classes for 1 hour, then move for options etc.

To keep this simple, all we are looking for is an insight into Plan B, if there is one.

Details on how 30 plus students in 49m2 at post primary or primary should be managed.

This 1 size fits all, REALLY does not fit anyone!

@JohnKav1 @SimonHarrisTD @NormaFoleyTD1 Same here with my own kids, I hear you! Planning for LC 2021 must also be explained now as some students have missed out on month's of education for a huge number of reasons.
Planning from the top needs to be urgently addressed and communicated.

However without the DES allowing schools to use some form of remote learning or staggered days, there are major problems ahead. This applies to all schools especially those with 30 plus students in 46m2 classrooms!

So... today I was informed by @Education_Ire the I cannot have my staff meeting of 100 staff members, as the would be more than 50 indoors... However, 2 days later I can have 1200 indoors, all day mixing every hour or the thereabouts 👍
