Iโm an engineer and a maker.
I made iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, and AirPods at Apple.
I still build things for a living โ just different things now.
Here I write about technology from a builderโs perspective: Apple, AI, EVs, engineering, and occasionally investing in the companies building the future.
Mostly, Iโm interested in how things are built, why they succeed, and where technology is going next.
Tesla has just introduced a new Supercharging safety feature called โEmergency Drive Away,โ which allows you to immediately drive away from a Supercharger for safety reasons while your vehicle is still plugged in.
Now rolling out via an OTA software update (2026.38.3). Pre-2021 Model S and Model X are not supported. No adapters needed. This feature applies to U.S. Superchargers only for now.
@oriontsx@BaT_MaN_23 Jesus is not a fake god. He is a historical figure with strong contemporary attestation, claimed divinity through resurrection accounts that launched the world's largest religion, and stands apart from the purely mythological figures in that image.
@MstrHappyJustin Hey Delta โ do you want to be United with Americans, or stay Delta because of politics? ๐บ๐ธ
Serving American passengers well is patriotic.
@Delta@united@AmericanAir
48 airlines. 7,000+ planes either flying Starlink or signed up for it.
Delta reportedly passed because of who owns it.
That's not a business decision. That's a grudge. And your passengers pay for it at 35,000 feet. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
This is the wrong way to regulate autonomous driving.
Regulation should be technology-agnostic.
A human backup, LiDAR, or redundancy itself should not be the requirement. The requirement should be measurable safety performance and an acceptable failure rate.
If redundancy is needed to achieve that, add it.
But redundancy is a means to achieve safety โ not the definition of safety.
Regulate the outcome, not the implementation.
