A recent research paper from Dr. Apurba L Koner’s group. This paper highlights julolidine-based molecular rotors as fluorescent turn-on probes, showcasing their effectiveness in sensing local environmental properties such as polarity, pH, viscosity, protein folding & misfolding.
In this review, the authors comprehensively summarized the development of various fluorescent reporters over the past five years for a selective and sensitive estimation of lysosomal metal ion concentration.
