It is now three years since Shabana FC returned to the Kenya Premier League after spending 17 years outside the top tier.

Since then, the club’s progress has become a topic of discussion in the streets, with many fans and football followers acknowledging the positive steps being made both on and off the pitch.

One of the developments is Shabana FC’s partnership with Oasis Health Hospitals.
Oasis provides medical cover worth about KSh 8.8 million annually for the players and technical bench.
Shabana players today can access to comprehensive healthcare, emergency treatment, ambulance support, medical supervision and nutrition services.

According to our records, Shabana FC became the first SportPesa Premier League club to secure medical cover of this nature for its players.

As Shabana FC, we are aware of the cartels who refuse to acknowledge anything positive the club is doing.

Some ticketing brokers have developed e-ticketing systems and attempted to work with several Kenya Premier League clubs, but their business has not generated the profits they expected. Now, having recognized Shabana FC’s massive and loyal fan base, they are targeting our club with blackmail and criticism over our decision to continue using physical tickets instead of adopting their preferred online ticketing systems.

The truth is that, in Kenya, Shabana FC and AFC Leopards are among the clubs that have developed their own e-ticketing systems. Shabana FC introduced its own e-ticketing system while playing at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.

During matches when the club used physical tickets, gate collections exceeded KSh 600,000. However, after the introduction of e-ticketing, the collections dropped significantly to KSh 200,000. This raised serious concerns, the club conducted its own investigations. some fans at Raila Odinga Homabay Stadium fans were using a single e-ticket to gain access to the stadium more than once.

If these E- ticketing brokers are genuinely committed to transparency and accountability in Kenyan football, why don't they publicly disclose verifiable collection figures from the clubs they have worked with, including Posta Rangers, Mathare United , KCB FC or Tusker FC? Transparency should be demonstrated through facts and figures, not just criticism and accusations.

Shabana FC is not a club that bows to intimidation or blackmail. We understand our operations, our supporters and what we believe is best for the club. Every decision we make regarding ticketing and gate collections is guided by our responsibility to protect the club's interests and ensure its sustainability.

You can call Shabana FC all sorts of names, including Probox FC, and whatever else you choose. That will not distract us from our mission. We are not in a competition over which ticketing method is superior, nor will we allow outside interests to dictate how we manage our club.

Shabana FC belongs to its people. Our priority is the club, our supporters and the future we are building together. No amount of intimidation will change that.

@mcosewe_jnr We tried to use E-ticketing and many fans were accessing Raila Odinga Stadium Homabay for free . At Gusii stadium , we used physical tickets and 3/4 of fans used to buy the tickets .

Shabana FC has sent its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Peter Nyamumbo ( Peter Peters), following his untimely passing.

Peter fell ill last night while at his brother’s house in Mwembe. His brother contacted Peter’s friends, who rushed him to Christa Mariane Hospital for medical attention. Sadly, Peter passed away around midnight.

Peter Peters served as the Organising Secretary of Shabana FC Kisii Main Branch, where he played a significant role in the growth and development of the club. He was a dedicated supporter and an instrumental figure in strengthening the bond among Shabana FC fans in Kisii.

Peter was also part of the team that drafted a request letter to former President Uhuru Kenyatta seeking a bus for Shabana FC. Their efforts bore fruit when Kisii County hosted the Mashujaa Day celebrations at Gusii Stadium, where President Uhuru Kenyatta presented Shabana FC with a new bus.

In his role as Organising Secretary, Peter worked tirelessly to ensure that fans from the Kisii branch attended away matches together as one family.

His dedication, commitment, and contribution to Shabana FC will forever be remembered. His passing is a great loss to the club, the supporters, and the wider football fraternity.
Shabana FC extends its deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with Peter Peters during his time with the club.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
