@WindyCOYS@NathanAClark He did, but it felt like a hot take and not, “let’s not make a repeat mess of the January window.” He’s healthy, he cares, he deserves to be in the depth chart. Spurs have never turned over 11 starters in a season so, we gotta keep “some” functional guys..
@NathanAClark In a sea of takes (I loved watching this pod), I still don’t understand the waffling on Tel, literally the only winger on the squad to both stay healthy the entire season and score goals. These discussions still bias to starters and not rotation enough except with Archie/Bergvall
@LilywhiteLab@Kish_P14 First, I’d like know how you feel about this signing if he becomes Llorente for this team (rotation/bench option, maybe big matches where steel is needed),
Why not: Crucial to sign him *while also* bringing in a starter?
@LilywhiteLab@Kish_P14 First, I really love your content and think you are a fantastic Nathan A Sub In.
I’m having a hard time with this take at a “winning build” level. I think its crucial to have at least 2 non first team - adult - vets in the squad. Currently that looks to be JP and Andy …
@WindyCOYS If hiring RDZ is as an important decision as retaining Ange so he could see out the EL, then despite his performance shortcomings, should be allowed a chance to see through the plan with the manager he hired. Theres no guarantee RDZ gets along with the vision of his replacement.
@PhilB2810@TheAthleticFC both calls were incorrect on the pitch because the ref in both instances chose not to blow the whistle on the basis that VAR would bail them out.
@NathanAClark@SpursOfficial One can strike, often strikes when he should pass.
The other can pass, unclear if he can strike.
Not even being sarcastic but having one on each side is balance
@AndyPerry145092@NathanAClark True THFCP, but why would you be happy with giving this club any reason not to continue to invest should relegation happen? If this coach walked after relegation with a huge sum that would be easy excuse for the board to continue to neglect the squad over those lost fees
@nishenradia@NathanAClark To be fair, most sports owners — in all of sports — would not have taken Poch back that first time. It was too soon, and you can’t give your fanbase the idea that it is smarter than you under any circumstances.
@stevecco@NathanAClark Because he’s a man with a massive e who ran the club consistently and “safely” for two decades with only one relegation worry season that wasn’t nearly as bad as this… that’s why.
