@BassamMelh@minenergybiz Well, US (Or rather, Trump - biggest TACO moment) surrendered to Iran for sure. But Israel can hardly live with that capitalation paper, that fuels Irans economy and military. So will tankers dare to return to SoH? That was my question.
@LukeMeaux@MacroAlphaHQ Pre war storage should be the counter weight to barrels lost so far? Still quite a bit left before the system fill begins to hit dry spots?
@B_Funk_@ericnuttall@contrarian8888 That's hardly a fair point. They often QQ about regulation, costs and competition. Saying price is going up is not a standard playbook. You don't see farmers rejoicing over prices going up either - not their standard playbook. Real estate brokers & travel agencies are permabulls.
@londonbaithead@KobeissiLetter Doesn't really matter with the subsidies. That's what state capitalism is about. The state wins but the chinese people don't get their share of the wealth. You can't really win if you trade with China.
@koda1338@SantiagoAuFund@ProfSteveKeen Well, Europe isn't going to be controlled by US. Europe can't rely on US and grows quite strongly in the defence sector. And include Ukraine there, btw.
@AndreasSteno Why do you think this will end quickly? Do you understand how the Iranians think and how much pain they're willing to endure? Is it more or less than in Ukraine? Can Trump end this before June 1st? What will he do once he realize he can't make a deal with people willing to die?
@Henrik115 100% true. But I've yet to see CEOs in O&G who only buys back shares when P/E is below e.g. 5.
Usually it's something they do when they have cash and the share price is high vs. earnings. Reducing any high debt should be the highest priority though.
@cactusmaac@Henrik115@markusericander I guess the same thing can be said about $VLE with their miniscule shareholder return. Though build from cash, not debt (still shareholders money either way).
@Henrik115 Did you have a look at $GTE? Double the production of $VLE (which is cheap IMO; tax pool and cash in mind) and quite leveraged? Should clean up much of the expensive debt at this OP. Also... when do you guess OP is <85 again - 3-6 months from war-end or later?
