@Neuro_Skeptic Intense visual snow, alongside many other visual symptoms, is not how the 'normal' person experiences the world. Non-visual symptoms often co-occur as well, such as tinnitus, depersonalisation/derealisation, tremors, brain fog, paresthesias and more.

@weatherallmw In my view, the evidence will end up showing that 'visual snow' itself is much more common than 4%. Ask the question in a different way, and you will get a different answer. Clinical VS or VSS, however you want to define that, is different of course.

@VisualSnowInit @NASA This is closer to what (extreme!) phosphenes might look like, but there is some relation to TV-like static. The cosmic microwave background radiation made some contribution to the old analogue TV static you used to see!
