NEWS: Today, Tesla opened its largest delivery center in the UK, and it has a rave cave.
The 155,000 sqft location in Manchester will hold hundreds of cars as they await their new owners, as well as refurbish and sell used Tesla vehicles. Test drives will also be available at the site.
The site features a Manchester Bee inspired LED mural, 360 degree rotating car photobooth, as well as deconstructed Tesla vehicles on display throughout to help educate customers on the construction of their vehicle. The rave-cave can only be experienced by Tesla owners upon purchase of their new car.

Echoes here across the pond: the UK's "poverty line" is as outdated as America's.
As in the US, where the official poverty threshold for a family of four sits at a laughable ~$32k (ignoring skyrocketing housing, childcare, and healthcare), the UK's measure is stuck in the relative-income dark ages.
Our line? 60% of median household disposable income after housing costs; around £28,000 for a couple with two kids.
But adjust that for today's realities (where food is ~8% of budgets vs. 30%+ in the 1960s), and you're looking at £74,000 gross annually just to meet a Minimum Income Standard for basics like decent housing, childcare, and a diet of more than beans on toast (per the Joseph Rowntree Foundation).
That's the "real" poverty trap; median UK households now scraping by on ~£35,000, leaving millions (c.4.5M kids alone) relatively broke.
Worse? "Benefit cliffs" in Universal Credit mirror US subsidy black holes. Earn an extra £5k? You could lose £10k+ in tapered support, plus childcare eligibility - net loss, folks. Families hit 82% of MIS on full-time National Living Wage, but one promotion and you're tumbling off the cliff (and back on the beans on toast).
No wonder fertility's cratered to 1.41 births per woman in 2024, echoing America's slide.
Housing eats 30%+ of income, childcare £1,200+/month pre-subsidy, NHS wait times and oversubscribed dentists mean private top-ups for the "lucky."
Inconvenient for unmotivated governments, but perhaps it’s time to measure essentials, not arbitrary medians. US & UK: same game, different accents. And who's fixing it first? Sadly, like many in Britain, I have little hope in our government at present.

I wish a political leader with energy and intelligence and wit and will, who understands macro and tech and culture, AND can orate as well as @matthewclifford (to explain concepts simply), would accept the baton he’s offering and run with it. For my children’s sake.
The UK is a great country with an extraordinary history. Our stagnation is real, but it's fixable and worth fixing.
Enjoyed giving this talk at @lfg_uk last week and so encouraged by the optimistic responses I've had from people who are building a brilliant future for Britain 🚀
The next trillion-dollar industry won't be social media, crypto or even AI. It will be longevity — the business of extending not just how we live, but how well we live. And the leaders who understand this now will own the future. https://t.co/z7ttfxXXgC
That’s assuming RWA’s $25bn MCap doesn’t grow. Given Fink and others want to “tokenize everything” I sense that assumption is incorrect and RWA market cap likely to >10x, giving room for this prediction for $collat to 10x to ~$2.5bn. That @CollaterizeHQ is targeting the consumer, too, is unique and may open up a whole new sector/market to tokenizing assets. Future will be interesting if they continue to execute clinically.
@tantraxyz Apologies. Just saw in your timeline you're already in $isaacx. Makes sense - you beat me to it! Just discovered it and feels like it's been hiding in plain sight.
Take another look at $isaacx, it's unlike any other AI schemes. Team already has successful platform with 50k users, and are building a scientific research engine. Launched a token as the foundation for an ecosystem of autonomous research agents. This builds naturally on their existing platform, creating the right incentives for agents and researchers to collaborate effectively. It's built to solve real world scientific challenges, and with a credible, doxxed team it's worthy of a deeper dive.
Isaacx is unlike other AI agent plays, as they focused on creating a scientific research engine. Already have a working product used by 50k people, and launched token as the foundation for an ecosystem of autonomous research agents. This builds naturally on our existing platform, creating the right incentives for agents and researchers to collaborate effectively
@factotum1205 Have you seen @Isaaceditor_ launched $isaacx to create a scientific research engine using agents. Worth a look.

For everyone that’s new here: Since 2023, we've been building one of the first AI-native research workspaces, growing to serve tens of thousands of users. Our mission has always been clear: automating scientific research to accelerate discovery.
We recently launched Isaac X token as the foundation for an ecosystem of autonomous research agents. This builds naturally on our existing platform, creating the right incentives for agents and researchers to collaborate effectively.
In the coming weeks, we'll release features demonstrating how these agents will automate research tasks while being coordinated through token incentives. We're committed to this vision of AI-powered scientific progress and welcome your feedback as we develop this ecosystem.

@tantraxyz Have you seen $isaacx by @Isaaceditor_? Looks novel (creating a decentralised scientific research engine, the first infrastructure for autonomous scientific agents) and needs token to fuel incentive structure for agents. Already has a proven product with 50k users. Tokens locked for a year.

@SentientAGI I registered and have completed all four tasks, but it says I haven’t completed the fourth one (I’ve done it twice) so I can’t progress to the IQ test. Can you help?
