@theistinthought@raspberryjauy Africa is the continent with the largest Christian population in the world, about 750 million (from all denominations) and the numbers keep growing. There were only 10 million in 1900.
@theistinthought@raspberryjauy Thank God for the global church! When Africa got rid of colonialism, many expected Christianity to be discarded too, but it grew more than ever. We might soon need African and Asian missionaries here. It happened before (English missionaries to Ireland, then Irish to England).
@theistinthought@raspberryjauy That's true but every church I visited had both young and old.prople. I don't know about statistics. It's just what I have seen.

@dougponder@DBryanRhodes I can see this advice going to the opposite extreme. Listening and being sensitive to those around us is an important part of love.
"The poet only asks to get his head into the heavens. It is the logician who tries to get the heavens into his head, and it is his head that splits." ๐ (G K. Chesterton

On World Schizophrenia Day, I urge conservatives hijacked by the woke anti-psych agenda to read this book by my late friend DJ Jaffe.
DJ was my political opposite but we united on this: we're failing severely mentally ill. https://t.co/4BgnWgoiYL
In honor of World Schizophrenia Day, Iโm sharing recommended reads. This one is for the church. I was reluctant to read, shame on me, because I knew the tragic outcome. But Iโm glad I persevered because it is an honest account of what families face. Now I call @SimonettaCarr my friend and I cannot wait for her next book to be published soon on same subject. Forward by Michael Horton. https://t.co/KEjIbK9Vcm
"As we read, we should think the best of the author before us and engage the thoughts and ideas of the fellow image-bearer. ... If we accept only some books as part of our charmed circle, we fall short of Christian love and charity in the act of reading." (J.V. Fesko)
Are our requests for prayer from other believers different from prayers of intercession from departed saints? This question by Carl Trueman caught me by surprise. Thankfully, he provides the answer. https://t.co/isxNpXhA3g
