@davidslevs And just to be clear, I’m not trying to argue that it’s okay cause everyone does it, just more so that i think it’s more fair to dog on microsoft or twitter or adobe for pumping out slop instead of an indie dev creating a free product that couldn’t exist without ai
@davidslevs I also think ai code is less stigmatized cause it’s a tool to make stuff, not the actual stuff. As long as you don’t let ai generate the vision it doesn’t matter how good or bad the code is, it never has.
@SteveMoraco@theo Especially with your example usage that you show here, I could do this at least two times faster with hotkeys, it would take me more time to figure out and speak the prompt. There are problems AI could genuinely solve, I could list at least 10. I think you're missing the mark
@SteveMoraco@theo I still don't think you get video editing. I really don't understand what problem you're trying to solve. Why would I trust your words about not doing "generative" ai, when the entire blog post and images are clearly ai generated?
@amoginfinity@azaleadvo cause its irrelevant and a fallacy at best, sexism at worst lol. you cannot judge if someone is cheating based on a stereotype, as that would make it discrimination
@varien@JChillinsworth@secrecymusic is this a nazi dogwhistle or do you genuinely just not know the historical context of words you steal from other languages
