My Recovery Plan: What I Will Do If I Get Hacked Today

In crypto, security is not something you think about after a hack it’s something you prepare for before it happens.

If I ever notice suspicious activity in my wallet today, these are the immediate steps I will take:

1. Move Remaining Funds Immediately
If there are still assets in the wallet, I will transfer them to a secure wallet to prevent further loss.

2. Revoke All Wallet Permissions
I will disconnect my wallet from every dApp and revoke all smart contract approvals.

3. Secure My Accounts
I will enable or strengthen 2FA on all related accounts and remove any saved wallet phrases or sensitive data stored online.

4. Identify the Compromised Source
I will check recent transactions and connected platforms to understand how the compromise may have happened.

5. Warn the Community
If the wallet is compromised, I will publicly alert the community so no one else interacts with the malicious address.

6. Report the Attacker’s Address
I will report the wallet to blockchain security trackers and notify any project teams involved.

Crypto security is not just about protecting yourself it’s also about protecting the community.

Every reported scam, every shared experience, and every warning makes it harder for attackers to succeed.

How I Messed Up My Digital Security

The Shock & Vulnerability in the Crypto Space

I used to think hacks were things that happened to “other people.” The careless ones. The greedy ones. The newbies who didn’t know better.

Not me.

I was farming a project called Warden. It wasn’t just vibes and speculation it was “real utility.” We were doing on-chain tasks: swaps, cross-chain transactions, interacting with an AI agent app. You prompt the AI agent, complete actions, and earn PUMP points, which would later convert into Ward tokens.

Eight months of grinding. Swapping. Bridging. Paying gas. Yapping in Discord. Believing.

I wasn’t gambling. I was building position.
