A rock legend lost too soon in 2017.

Some people had left an AC/DC flag, some guitar picks, and flowers that had a note from visitors from Spain.

Painted limestone statuette of an Amarna princess, daughter of Akhenaten and Nefertiti (1351-1332 BC) - from Tell el-Amarna - Egypt......

Akhenaten and Nefertiti are generally understood to have had six daughters together. Their names, in birth order as far as we can tell from the monuments, are:

Meritaten, Meketaten, Ankhesenpaaten (later Ankhesenamun), Neferneferuaten Tasherit, Neferneferure & Setepenre -

Three of the daughters are believed to have died young: Meketaten, whose death is explicitly shown in the royal tomb at Amarna; Neferneferure, who vanishes from inscriptions shortly after Year 12; and Setepenre, the youngest, who disappears even earlier. The abrupt absence of the latter two from later family scenes and monuments serving as the quiet, sorrowful evidence of lives possibly cut short.

Under The Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829, Mr Burnham is prohibited from advising the King on appointments to the C of E. This will be delegated to a government minister

Rishi Sunak, a Hindu, was not prohibited from advising the King on these matters - one of the quirks of history and the British constitution.

Boris Johnson was baptised into the Catholic faith as an infant but converted to Anglicanism when at Eton.

Tony Blair was an Anglican in office and converted to Catholicism a few months after leaving No. 10.

Andy Burnham is a cradle Catholic and continues to practice his faith. He was educated at Catholic schools, as are his children.

Photographed in colour a staggering 120 years ago, this is one of my all-time favourite Autochromes. I have cleaned-up this beautiful study of two ladies in Provence, pausing on their walk by a grove of olive trees in 1906. It was taken in France by an anonymous photographer using an early colour glass-plate process. It isn't colourised.
