Le joyau français qu'est la forêt de #Fontainebleau brûle. Déjà 300ha. Il s'agit dores et déjà d'un des plus grands feux documentés depuis 1900. On retrouve entre autres :
- 300ha le 14-15 août 1904.
- 762ha en 1921 sur plusieurs départs de feux dans la forêt et autour (notamment la forêt de la Commanderie au sud de Fontainebleau).
- 250 à 300ha en 1959.
Il n'y a malheureusement rien d'étonnant :
1⃣L'indice de feux est "très extrême" aujourd'hui (image n°4) après trois canicules et une sécheresse extrême. Niveau qu'on retrouve plutôt en méditerranée qu'en Ile de France sauf que les moyens mis en place ne sont pas les mêmes qu'en méditerranée.
2⃣La forêt de Fontainebleau est l'un des massifs forestiers les plus sensibles aux incendies du nord de la France. C'est la combinaison d'une végétation très inflammable (pin sylvestre, fougère, bruyère etc.), d'un sol extrêmement sec (sables filtrants, platières de grès, faible réserve utile en eau), d'une fréquentation humaine exceptionnelle (15 millions par an) et, désormais, du changement climatique.
3⃣Depuis plusieurs années, plusieurs phénomènes augmentent la quantité de combustible (dépérissement de certaines espèces notamment).
C'était attendu et documenté. Dans le nord de la France, les moyens de lutte doivent sérieusement être revu sur le modèle du sud de la France.
On a du retard. On patine. Par exemple, les canadairs promis par Emmanuel Macron à la suite des incendies de 2022, n'étaient plus produits en série depuis plusieurs années. Ils devraient arriver, il me semble entre 2028 et 2033. À ce stade, la France n'a donc pas reçu de nouveaux Canadair. La flotte continue essentiellement de reposer sur les existants, qui ont environ 30 ans d'âge moyen, avec des contraintes de maintenance importantes.
Pourquoi ne pas avoir écouté les scientifiques à ce sujet (bien avant Emmanuel Macron d'ailleurs qui essaye de réparer les manques de ces prédécesseurs) ? Pourquoi réagir à l'émotion et ne jamais anticiper les effets du changement climatique (pourtant connus et documentés depuis 30 ans) ?
