Per-country visa caps hurt the American economy—preventing U.S. employers from staying competitive—& hurt families.
I've introduced the bipartisan EAGLE Act w/@RepJohnCurtis to move toward a better system.

My office has received countless calls concerning H4 and H4EAD cases.
I remain committed to correcting the delays. Here is our caseworker Thelma to provide an update.
Grateful to .@Google .@sundarpichai & coalition of 30 F500 companies & orgs for efforts to #SaveH4EAD
Our volunteers have worked relentlessly over years to highlight benefits of H4EAD to community.
We must #SaveH4EAD & also resolve root cause of national origin discrimination.
While suspension of biometrics temporarily for I-539 forms is welcome step, it is nearly not enough. We continue to advocate for swift & lasting relief.
Yesterday our volunteers met with .@SenFeinstein staff. Much thanks to Megan & Edwin for their empathy towards #H4EADdelays
After months of advocacy on #H4EADdelays via protests, meeting Judiciary committee members, media outreach, twitter campaigns, proud to announce .@USCIS has suspended biometrics for 2 yrs. However, our work isn't complete & our advocacy continues for permanent solution #SaveH4EAD
Our advocacy continues to achieve lasting solutions to resolve #H4EADdelays & #SaveH4EAD
Today we met with .@RepDeanPhillips immigration staff to discuss the unique challenges faced by 100,000 skilled legal immigrant women across the country, due to discriminatory country caps.
@RepJayapal Hon'ble Congresswoman, as you noted in Judiciary hearing last week, nearly 100,000 skilled immigrant #WomenForcedToQuit their jobs during pandemic purely due to unnecessary and arbitrary @USCIS policies. We look forward to your leadership to resolve #H4EADdelays and #SaveH4EAD
Grateful to Hon'ble Chairwoman .@RepZoeLofgren, Hon'ble Ranking Member .@RepMcClintock & other distinguished members of .@HouseJudiciary for the opportunity to submit statement of record on #H4EADdelays & need to #SaveH4EAD
Please read our statement here:

@wasdenbanias @POTUS @wasdenbanias @AttyStevenBrown -as noted by many others, scrapping bio for #h4ead is a good win but the delays will persist. Your clients on the EAD delay lawsuits are waiting months *post-biometrics* for approvals. Pls push @USCIS on this, its been 9-12 months for many of us!
@wasdenbanias appreciate the effort Jon.. but for those of us who lost their EADs, jobs, DLs, insurance, peace of mind, months ago. We're kind of numb to the idea of "Big News" at this point. Is @USCIS is going to agree to do their job and adjudicate our apps in a timely manner?
Grateful to Hon'ble .@RepMGS for highlighting #H4EADdelays causing #WomenForcedToQuit not only hurt skilled immigrant women but also hurts the American economy, businesses and research universities. #SaveH4EAD
Grateful to Hon'ble .@RepJayapal for highlighting #H4EADdelays disproportionately impact immigrant women of color, who are stuck in decades long #GCbacklog due to discriminatory country caps. Many thanks to .@David_J_Bier & .@johncyangdc for impeccable data & for being our voice
#H4EADdelays is truly humanitarian crisis pushing 100,000 skilled legal immigrant women of color into despair for no fault of their own.
We are grateful to Hon'ble Chairwoman .@RepZoeLofgren and other members of .@HouseJudiciary committee to shine a light on this critical issue.
@wasdenbanias - Jon, any updates for all of us who joined the RN Law/Wasden group litigations starting back in Sept./Oct.? Many of us still waiting from the Sept/Oct batch. Are we going to be included in any future settlement you're negotiating? #h4ead#H4EADdelays

great article! Legal, high skilled immigrants who've been in the country for yrs/decades, contributing to their communities, shld get bi-partisan support (& sometimes do). But this issue just gets killed in the cross fire of other, hot button immigration issues.
An issue that has flown under the radar: tens of thousands of immigrants, mostly Indian women, are losing months of pay—if not their jobs and in some cases their homes—because of massive bureaucratic delays in processing their visa renewals+work permits https://t.co/WQmMEcVwgQ
@MHackman thanks Michelle! @POTUS, @VP, @USCIS, @SecMayorkas are aware of this issue. But legal, high skilled immigrants - who should have bi-partisan support - end up getting neglected in the big picture. Thanks to @RepBonnie for urging a fix for #h4ead delays. Let's push for change!

Our heartfelt thanks to WA State Rep .@SlatterVandana for meeting with our volunteers. We applaud her strong support & commitment to bring more attention to quickly resolve #H4EADdelays issue that disproportionately impact immigrant women of color causing #WomenForcedToQuit
Our volunteers met .@ChrisMurphyCT staff, Emily & CT State Sen .@MattLesser to discuss inordinate #H4EADdelays that are upending lives of immigrant women across US
With them as allies on our side, confident that #WomenForcedToQuit will quickly become thing of past! #SaveH4EAD
