Creatives in this country mindlessly joining "guilds" backed by an authoritarian state should know by now that it is not their talent that the government values. It's their silence and complicity they are invested in. Great art is, and will always be, anti-establishment.

Consuming diverse art, literature and culture is how you become well rounded. Being anti-diversity basically promotes mental, emotional and intellectual regression. Exposure to different ways of living and being can literally only help you.

one of the greatest disservices we do to ourselves is the personification of a nation state. it places responsibility onto people in ways it doesnt require of the state. it structures (and emphasizes) the people as servicing of the state and not the state to its people.
