Observations-
1. Rishis created beings including Humans like Lopamudra, without being born naturally.

When Maharshi Agastya’s wife, Lopamudra, came before him after completing her Ritusnān (the ritual bath after menstruation), lightly adorned and glowing with divine beauty, Agastya’s gaze became fixed upon her. Lopamudra was a woman of unparalleled beauty — even the celestial nymphs (Apsaras) would feel shy before her radiance.

It is said that Maharshi Agastya himself had created her. He had carefully taken the finest features from every animal and shaped them together into the form of a perfect woman. When that divine creation was complete, he gave her to the King of Vidarbha to raise as his daughter, upon the king’s request. Thus, Lopamudra grew up amidst royal luxury in the palaces of Vidarbha.

A beautiful form nourished by royal opulence multiplies its charm a hundredfold — Lopamudra’s youth began to bloom like the fragrance of the Rātrirājni (night-flowering jasmine).

When Maharshi Agastya felt the need for progeny, his mind went to his own creation, Lopamudra. He went to the King of Vidarbha and asked for her hand in marriage. The king, deeply attached to his daughter, wished to refuse, but he was also aware of the sage’s immense powers and dared not decline. After consulting his queen but finding no way out, the king was saved from his dilemma when Lopamudra herself stepped forward, saying, “Father, please give me in marriage to the Maharshi.”

At that time, she stood before them dressed in fine royal garments and adorned with precious jewels. Seeing her so decorated, Agastya said gently,

“In my hermitage, you must live the life of an ascetic’s wife. What use are silken clothes and ornaments for a woman devoted to austerity? Wear these bark garments instead, and leave your jewels here.”

Without hesitation, Lopamudra renounced all her luxury and donned the simple valkala (bark clothing). She was ready to follow her husband to the forest.

In the hermitage, Lopamudra lived like a true ascetic, and both husband and wife continued to observe brahmacharya (celibacy).

One day, after performing her Ritusnān, Lopamudra appeared before Agastya. Her grace and charm were such that the sage could not restrain his natural affection. As he stepped forward to embrace her, she blushed, smiled shyly, and stepped back.

Agastya said,

“What is this, Lopā? Why do you withdraw? We are householders now, and it is our duty to bring forth progeny. Come, let us fulfill our sacred responsibility.”

Lopamudra replied modestly,

“Forgive me, revered one. I cannot unite with you while dressed as a hermit’s wife. Such an act requires a suitable environment — one of beauty, fragrance, and comfort. I wish to adorn myself like a princess once more, with ornaments, fine garments, and a soft bed. Only then will I join you.”

Maharshi Agastya was troubled. He said,

“You are no longer a princess, my dear, but an ascetic. You know I cannot arrange such luxuries. Why do you test me so?”

With humility, Lopamudra replied,

“My Lord, I do not wish to displease you — this is but a natural desire of a woman. You, who are capable of anything, can easily fulfill this small wish. I have completed my Ritusnān today; it will remain effective for fourteen days. If you can arrange what I ask within this time, I shall be ready. Otherwise, you will have to wait for another month.”

Thus, Lopamudra set forth her gentle but firm condition.

To honor her feelings, Agastya set out to obtain the wealth necessary for her request.

He first went to King Shrutvarā, seeking alms. The king opened all his accounts and said,

“O Sage, if you find any surplus wealth beyond our expenses, please take it.”

Agastya found there was none and asked who among kings was the richest.
The king replied, “None is wealthier than King Bṛghuśva.”

Agastya went to Bṛghuśva, but there too he found the same condition. Upon inquiry, Bṛghuśva suggested, “Go to King Trasadasyu.”
