Day 0 of sharing my grinding consistently till I get my dream Job.
Will regularly post about my learnings, growth, struggles and all.
Will tag my mentors and teachers
@Hiteshdotcom@piyushgarg_dev@nirudhuuu
A weekend activity for you. Donβt use AI for this. Just build it with your own intuition and figure things out as you go
Feel free to use any tech stack
Backend:
- Seed a database with a large dataset
- REST APIs that supports:
1. Server-side pagination
2. Multi-field filtering
3. Sorting on different fields
4. Search across records
5. Bulk select and bulk actions
6. Export selected/all records
- Proper validation and error handling
- Rate limiting
- Handle duplicate requests
Frontend:
- Build a proper data table
- Column-level filters
- Global search
- Sorting
- Server-side pagination
- Hide/unhide columns
- Reorder columns
- Row-level actions
- Multi-row selection
- Select current page / select all records
- Loading, empty and error states
- Preserve filters/sort/page in the URL
- Debounce search
Day 19 of my grind
Today I started studying about redis, pub/sub
set up redis in my side project chat-chord
Once I successfully apply that here I'll move to Synketsuki and implement that.

Day-16 of my grinding
Today I started implementing websockets in my project.
The main challenge I faced was to decide the architecture. How should I set up socket code?
I have:
- initialized socket
- set up
- write 3 event handlers

Day 14 of my grinding.
Completed my Discord like chat app -> chatchord.
Learnt a ton about sockets and the implementation.
It was really fun.
Going to apply the concepts in my main project.
(Special Thanks to Piyush Sir.)
(Don't read the chats π«£)
π https://t.co/JdAnVfiZed
After this project,
I have learnt:
1. how web socket works
2. How to broad cast a message to everyone
3. Send message to a certain client.
3. Send message to a certain client.
Day 13 of my grind
Finally a Discord like chatting app
You have channels (group)
You can chat personally.
For this I have used @SocketIO
Have a few improvements to do and I'll push it to Git-Hub.
Time to implement the knowledge in my main project Synketsuki. π€π€π€

@discord NOTE: I'm not saying chatgpt is bad or writes bad code always
That'd be very ungrateful and a lie
It helps me a lot to learn, debug and understand code base.
But sometimes it does f&ck up. FS.
To master websockets and socket io.
I am building a basic simple @discord like application.
I am writing the BE and FE js logic my self
The only thing I asked chat got to do was write the html and css
Guess what that the only place where I got bugs. π Took my 40 mins. π

Advice for people in tech.
> Keep an emergency fund of 9-12 months with you
> Avoid taking loans, unless necessary
> Upskill post job hours, in weekend, whenever you can
> Take the job that comes your way if pay is decent
> Be interview ready as much as possible
> Ask for work, if you feel you aren't contributing enuf
Consider yourself lucky if you a job, tough times for people who haven't upskilled much in last few years.
Two kids. One mom.
No load balancer.
3.5yo and 1yo both DDoS'd me for attention this Sunday, simultaneously, at max volume, zero backoff.
I'm not "mom of 2 boys." I'm the single point of failure in a system with no redundancy. π
