There is no internet.
No signal. No sound. No world beyond this cage.
I walked thirty minutes through ruins and dust. Not in search of escape, but for a fragment of signal, just enough to whisper, “We are still alive.”
Not because anyone is listening,
but because to die unheard is the final death.
Gaza is silent now.
Not with peace, but with obliteration.
Not a silence of stillness, but of smothering.
They severed the last cable.
No messages leave. No images enter.
Even grief has been forbidden.
I passed the corpses of buildings, of homes, of men, some breathing, some not.
All of them erased by the same hand that erased our voices.
This is not a siege of bombs alone.
It is a siege of memory: a war against our ability to say, “We were here.”
The bombing never stopped, especially in Jabalia.
They shell the streets where children beg for food.
They shell the lines where mothers wait for flour.
They shell hunger itself.
No food. No water. No exit.
And those who try, those who reach for aid, are struck down.
People die here, and no one knows.
Not because the killing paused, but because the killing of connection succeeded.
The internet was our final breath.
It was not a luxury; it was the last evidence of our humanity.
Now it is gone.
And in the dark, they massacre without consequence.
I found this faint eSIM signal as a dying man finds a flicker of flame.
I stood beneath a broken sky, risking death, not for rescue, but to send this.
A single message.
A last resistance.
If you are reading this, remember:
we walked through fire to say it.
We were not silent.
We were silenced.
And when the cables are restored,
the truth will bleed through the wires,
and the world will know what it chose not to see.
Good piece by Eoin Burke Kennedy (linked below). The housing system is so complex that only the state – and very-large developers – are capable of operating it. If the rules were simpler and clearer, smaller developers would be able to operate.
A poor record will be viewed in time as an understatement. As a nation, public bodies have facilitated white collar crime & watchdogs / regulators have turned a blind eye to it. #HowIrelandWorks
Two years later, an investigation at An Bord Pleanala which was supposed to take 6 weeks has concluded that, well, basically nothing bad happened bar all the Paul Hyde stuff. The report itself meanwhile won't be published...

If we put our minds to it!!! It’s a bit late @PlanningReg “My question is, why would you imagine that the author of the planning policy over the last decade is going to suddenly make it all better?”https://t.co/XeiaCHRv2Z @DarraghOBrienTD#Skerries#Transparency
The chairman of An Bord Pleanála had extensive correspondence with the senior barrister examining 'matters of concern' in planning for months before she finally delivered in recent days her long-delayed report into the turmoil in the body https://t.co/47FxYvjDmM
@KarenPowerComms@Fingalcoco@joefingalgreen@greenparty_ie@FingalGreens Karen, Fingal Council will be the poorer without your honesty, integrity and hard work. Wishing you all the best in your future endeavours and hopefully we will have you back representing Skerries in the not too distant future.
Mr. Netanyahu, antisemitism is a vile and disgusting form of bigotry that has done unspeakable harm to millions.
Do not insult the intelligence of the American people by attempting to distract us from the immoral and illegal war policies of your extremist and racist government.
An attempt by “the witnesses to undermine a thorough report? I’m guessing the “witnesses” would prefer if the whole report was redacted! Let’s hope transparency wins over the old guard protecting itself. @PlanningReg @anbordpleanala @Fingalcoco @BlowersIreland #Transparency
Whole regions equivalent of young excluded from getting homes in housing plans.
Good journalism. Good insights from @crazyhouseprice.
It’s down to housing policy and why didn’t the Dept or govt TD’s come out to defend why 500k + aren’t in plans? Because it means Cussen F’ed up

Behind all the scandals known, & yet to be exposed, are their enablers, the wilfully blind; those who know the truth yet choose not to see.
Has every atrocity, genocide, fraud, corruption, & false reporting, been enabled, made possible, by the wilfully blind?
Many watching closely here as @BlowersIreland have had similar reactions from #SIPO
Serious public interest cases denied any investigation without reasons given. How can a 'regulatory' body make such arbitrary decisions in good faith.
SPMs did not really stand a chance taking into account the bullying investigators, unprofessional internal & external lawyers & willingness to conceal cogent evidence: great detail by @KarlFlinders #postofficescandal https://t.co/ba43rpV5J8
