One Historical Turning Point in American Labor
Failure to Enforce Hire American on Federal Tech Contracts
For decades federal agencies have awarded billions in research and IT contracts with weak or no effective Hire American requirements. The policy was meant to prioritize U.S. workers on taxpayer-funded projects.
In reality many of these contracts were routinely staffed with H-1B and offshore teams. The original intent to protect American technical jobs with public money was quietly ignored.

@mattvanswol You mean the book Randi Weingarten wrote about fascism didn't help with literacy across the country? I hope @EDSecMcMahon sees this.

@C_3C_3 NGO's need to be outlawed entirely. It's just a way for the government to get around laws and limitations that are supposed to have bound them.
Are you sitting down?
There are 16,551 Civil Rights, Social Action and Advocacy NGOs in America that handle $23 billion per year.
The SPLC is just 1 of 16,551.
Insane.
The status quo rewards relapse — the Trump Administration is changing that.
@SecKennedy: “A rehab that treats an addict for 28 days or 30 days will actually make twice the money from us — from Medicaid — if the addict relapses. If you actually help that addict, place them in IOP, make sure they are sober and in a program, and they never come back to you, you actually get penalized for that. So, these are perverse incentives that we are trying to correct.”

Here's communist Nithya Raman celebrating 9/11 and trashing Jews with her DSA comrade Hasan Piker! Weird how nobody asks her about her ties with Beetlejuice Bob. Even Karen Bass wasn't dumb or desperate enough to pal around with this freak.
**Engineering Wednesday Call-to-Action Post**
This might sound crazy, but stay with me.
When someone is booked for a crime, race is treated as secondary. See all the folks marked as white on their booking form when they are anything but?
We are told repeatedly that race is a social construct. Scientists point to mitochondrial Eve and genetic data showing modern humans share common ancestry going back roughly 175,000 years.
If we are all one human race, then every person is also more than one race by definition.
Yet the same society that lectures us about race as a construct still requires detailed racial checkboxes on job applications, benefit forms, tax-credit certifications, and diversity reports. Employers receive financial incentives tied to those boxes. Hiring pipelines are shaped by them. Compliance departments track them.
If race is not supposed to matter for accountability, why does the system make it central when deciding who gets hired and who triggers a tax credit?
Here is a practical response.
When you fill out a job application and the race question appears, mark more than one race if the form allows it. Or select “Other” and write “Human.”
Refuse to let a construct that is dismissed in one context become a sorting tool in another.
The inconsistency is the point. The system wants the categories when they create advantages for preferred groups and prefers to ignore them when they create accountability. Ordinary Americans who simply want a job on merit are the ones left navigating the contradiction.
Have you started answering the race question on applications in a way that rejects the forced categories?
Drop what you have done.
BOOM!!
Money Flow Disruption.
There goes one of the biggest streams of federal taxpayers money that was funding the democrat party in California for the midterms.
More crying incoming, from democrats in California about growing deficits and the need to raise taxes.
Democrats are going to need to put a lot more property up for collateral because they’re going to need more loans.
We will be releasing thousands of more pages on this operation in the weeks ahead. Director Patel has offered to take the unprecedented step of releasing the actual evidence that the confidential human sources were providing the FBI. We are grateful for such transparency.
As I have said from the first, Iran's Hormuz "leverage" is a wasting asset. Every day, more oil gets through, and more pipelines get built to render Hormuz permanently irrelevant, to Fujairah, to Yanbu, to Latakia and Baniyas, possibly even to Ashkelon.
None of that hurts a peaceful Iran. But for the Islamist regime, it takes away the only leverage they had, the leverage they threatened but never tried to use for 47 years, not until now. It has added a $10-$20 per barrel risk premium to the global price of oil for half a century. Within 18-24 months, that will be gone forever.
This was not the moment Khamenei planned to use his leverage. He imagined he would build 20,000 ballistic missiles, including ICBMs that could hit the U.S. with the nuclear weapons he spent Iran's entire economy to develop. At that point, he imagined -- correctly -- that he could take whatever he wanted, and no one could do a thing about it.
That's why Trump struck exactly when he did, and that's why he was right to do so. Iran was always going to be messy: there's a reason all Trump's predecessors didn't take them on.
But they've lost, as surely as the Nazis had lost after the Battle of the Bulge. There's more war to be fought, as there was at the beginning of 1945. But while the details are yet to be decided, the outcome is not at all in doubt.
THE BIG FOUR HAVE OWNED OUR RANCHERS FOR DECADES.
Two of them FOREIGN.
85% of the cattle.
Ranchers squeezed to death.
Sec. Rollins just dropped
$500M SPUR to arm
INDEPENDENT American processors
and break their chokehold.
60 applications already.
THIS is America First.
Keep up the good work.
We the People are watching.
America’s ranchers deserve real competition and reliable local market options.
That’s why we launched the Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers (SPUR) Program — providing up to $500 MILLION to support small and mid-sized American beef processors.
This week, Under Secretaries Fordyce and Brashears connected directly with eligible processors to walk through the program and application process. We have already received 60 signed applications!
SPUR is a key part of our Plan to Fortify the American Beef Industry by expanding market opportunities for ranchers, strengthening our domestic beef supply chain, and supporting rural communities.
When American beef processors succeed, ranchers and rural America succeed. 🇺🇸
