Don't fw flags, but these are cool: π³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈπΊπ¦π΅πΈπΉπΌ
These early post-Endgame projects posed the bittersweet question of "What comes after the end of the world?", both on a micro scale, with Wanda and Vision, and on a macro scale, with Loki and Sylvie.
Apparently, the answer was "More of the same." Unsurprising, yet disappointing.
In hindsight it's kinda nuts that Marvel's direct followup to Endgame was their most experimental project to date then just... never did anything remotely close to it again
Like, it was still slop, but surprisingly emotional, if not downright melancholic and reflective slop.
It tried something here and there. Actually made you feel something here and there.
RDJ-Doom making the NuVengers fight the Fox X-Men or whatever is... not that.
what if darth vader's real power was the ability to predict when someone was about to choke to death in his vicinity and he just took advantage of that
@matpolloy@mobfighter63@thrasher_night Your feathers were oddly ruffled by me pointing out your thing for authority in art, looking at how you keep going on about objective quality, wrong opinions, critical acclaim and now awards lol.
@matpolloy@mobfighter63@thrasher_night I like Gilroy, but it's still giving baby's first auteur.
Especially since you endorse this but then refuse to let Lucas's creative choices have meaning, instead going "They're bad because they're bad!"
@matpolloy@mobfighter63 You think boasting about the fact that you joined this dumbass site half a year earlier than me makes you sound like less of a child? lmao
It's ok, kid, you win. Mid. Rizz. Six-seven.
@matpolloy@mobfighter63 You sound like three kids in a trench coat trying to sneak into a big boy art gala lol.
Don't worry, you'll get there, eventually.
@CaptainLore_@zweiwalker89607 Is this some kind of opposite day bit I'm missing or do you actually think that it predominantly happens this way around? lmao
@matpolloy Your entire point is "I saw both trilogies as a child and just so happened to find the one that society told me was objectively good objectively good."
Others saw both as children and are a little less prone to cave to majority opinions, so they like both or even prefer the PT.
This is why I have a hard time being forced to care about the gap because I'm glad he's not tied down like mcu actors were in the 2010s. That shit stunk.
