THE VOTES ARE IN. Amendment 7 did not pass The People's vote and slavery continues for punishment for crime in Louisiana. However, this is what we want The People to know.
In 2021, the Anti-slavery bill HB196 died in the first committee hearing due to our legislators.
To Louisiana voters, please know your votes were not in vain and it is not your fault if you voted NO. This issue is not a Democratic or Republican one because they were on the same side, but voters like YOU can change the narrative by using your superpower.
@_JessiicaAnn_ @endtheexception We disagree. The ballot language was different than the amendment on purpose by certain people to get you to vote no. Utah has the same amendment in there constitution right now and slavery was not expanded. We will try again, we hope you have that same energy to help us!
