@john_532@eevblog@acccgovau They're skirting on the edge of legality here. This type of thing is such a common occurrence. With no repercussions, it's the most lucrative way to carry out a scam. You just can't count on government to protect you against everything, that's why education is so important.
@eevblog The only truly anonymous currency is cold hard cash. That's why governments are slowly trying to eradicate it. Installing their own version of "digital currency" where everything is 100% tracked and surveilled is their ultimate wet dream.
@eevblog@blueorigin I'm nervous, but at least this one has the entry hatch near the ground, instead of 30 meters high with some crazy elevator contraption
@eevblog This program continues to amaze me. I remember the insanity when Falcon 9 first landed on a barge. When they catch the first Starship, it will be like that all over again. Meanwhile hardly anyone pays attention to the F9 landings any more.
@josephwang At the last FOMC meeting Warsh did mention strong economy as one of the reasons for higher yields, and he included "competition for capital" and war as the two other factors. I understand he has to tiptoe around questions from the press, but I just found it interesting.
@Kazimierzabczy1@AussieVal10@DrJessCollins I have to agree with you. If I'm at work and a light in the ceiling goes out, I put in a maintenance request and they change it out. I'm not going to stop whatever I'm doing, drive down to the hardware store to find a replacement bulb, grab a ladder and change it myself.
@RFERL It's not like these DSP chips from TI are top-secret military grade warfare components. They're used in millions of consumer appliances and electronic devices. And this video shows an ancient package (they're OLD). They could have been scavenged from anything.
@BlueBird_Invest@josephwang It's all of the above. This was Warsh's answer in the last FOMC meeting presser, when asked why rates keep jumping higher: A strong economy driven by AI spending. And that all that capex is resulting in more corporate borrowing (competition for capital). And the war.
