I also just wanted to add to this that Ubisoft PR confirmed to me “there were no layoffs” as a result of TLC finishing its dev cycle, people were just moved around.

Things are pretty bleak in the world of games journalism right now, especially when it comes to physical media. Websites and magazines are being closed down, which means both job losses and a reduction in opportunities for talented writers.

It also means that YOU have fewer places to read about games. Independent companies are trying to keep websites, blogs and gaming magazines alive, but without the backing of a large publisher or intrusive ads, that can be really hard.

If you want to continue to support amazing writing about the video game space, please support independent outlets who are trying to bring you what you want, while also providing opportunities to talented journalists, artists, illustrators, photographers and designers.
