Businesses aren’t just leaving Canada, they’ve been buried into the ground and intentionally put out of business by policies and regulations. Just look at the receivership cases right now, how many of those are small to medium sized corporations being bankrupted by bankers/gov (same bed different puppets if you ask me). Julian assange said 20% of businesses in this country are being bankrupted. Some don’t have the opportunity to start over in the US in a free market. Ford is reading off a script that is completely unrelatable to the Canadian public.
@RichardGage_911 I met you in person in Toronto back in 2014. My dad’s a survivor, I would love to bring him to this event, though I don’t know if it may be too painful for him to endure. Thank you for all that you do!
@TheDruidic1@JayGenXer Also so they can clear out the land, maybe to sell off to developers or data centres for where Ottawa will store all our personal metadata with the recent bills passed.
@HA_7287@ImJulianAssange Agreed. Not sure how to turn this around. Too many passive people here, aware of what our gov is doing, and blindly continuing carrying on.
Successful small family business with a handful of real estate - mortgage pulled and given 10 days to pay - bank brings in a court appointed receiver to take over instead of choosing to negotiate a fair agreement. Receiver gets a court order to sell our properties. Doesn’t sell them. Market drops. Property deteriorates. What was a solvent procedure is now bankrupting us. This is Canada.
Looking forward to reading your published work. I'm curious if the book includes material on the abuses the small business community has faced? Also if I may ask, do you have any recommendations on Anti-SLAPP lawyers who have dealt with cases against the government (i.e. defamation, economic interference) and challenged judges who have misapprehended the law? I'm in Toronto (sadly).
A small family crowd based business complies with Provincial and Federal COVID restrictions and does not operate in 2020. Prepares to operate in 2021. Lockdown regulations again shut down the business. Business prepares to open in 2022. Government lawyers bring an Anti-SLAPP against the business in 2023 for a defamation lawsuit the business filed against the government in 2016. Bank recalls the mortgage in 2023. Business goes into receivership. Business relies on property ownership to exit receivership. "Market crash" and the city appraises (tax value) the property for 2M less. The appraiser applies the same appraisal. Property sells to a company below appraised value. The board members on the buyers company are government sector. This is our story. I wish you guys victory - and all the small businesses continuing to survive.
@SecKennedy Any recommendations on where to get tested for Lyme/Alpha-Gal Syndrome for little to no cost in upstate NY? I've been diagnosed with FMF but the symptoms resemble that of Lyme, though my doctors and insurance deny it.
@barrywbussey@PardyBruce Registered! Looking forward to the discussions and Bruce's valuable insight (and to finally meet in person). Cheers, see you all soon.
Law professor @PardyBruce in conversation with @BridgeCityNews.
Canadians don’t truly own their land outright. Property is just a bundle of legal rights — and those rights last only as long as governments and courts decide to protect them.
A growing clash between Indigenous title claims and private ownership is leaving everyday Canadians wondering: who actually controls the land under their feet? By creating different legal rights based on ancestry and identity, Canada abandoned equal treatment under the law — opening the door to endless conflict and division. The ancient idea that “your home is your castle” is being dismantled.

@JCCFCanada Appreciate your work - it's an uphill battle and it will continue to be so but each of us has an obligation to continue do what we can do oppose this bill (and the continuous oppression of our regime).
@NicHulscher Any idea where we should get tested for alpha-gal/Lyme disease? My doctor does not think it is necessary nor really believes it could be the root cause of my symptoms.
@DrJesseMorse Former Floridian here in Canada where health care has become incredibly poor, what brands do you recommend? I’m currently using genestra but it’s fish oil and I’m allergic to all nuts.
@ryangerritsen She says that we need to shop local, where? The 150,000+ businesses that the government put out of business (including mine) with their reckless covid policies, regulations and inflation?
I’d love to watch. Will donate as well as I know how costly litigation can be. Me and my family have sued the federal government for misfeasance in public office, defamation and economic interference in our small business. I know what it’s like to lose everything, your reputation, money while having to keep your head above water. We are still in the fight. Just read your substack piece, brilliantly written. You’re going to get to the other side of this with success.
