It is with profound sadness that SMACKOBA announces the passing of Dr. Geoffrey Alan Onegi-Obel, a distinguished SMACKIST, accomplished investment banker and dedicated servant of our alma mater.

His exemplary contribution to Uganda’s financial sector and his commitment to the SMACK fraternity leave a lasting legacy. His passing is a great loss to his family, friends and the entire SMACK community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
“𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦. 𝘞𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘦, 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦.” - John 11:25

May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in eternal peace.
