@TridentTrue No one serious has ever doubted Julio’s power. The biggest question is how he can make quality contact more consistently. His current mechanics generate power, but don’t allow him to tap into it often enough.
@Gravel_sense Finite resources means taking risk. If Cal misses significant time we have bigger fish to fry. We desperately need leverage arms NOW + Ferrer is controllable for 4 years. I’ve heard Luke Stevenson is good too, so parting with Ford doesn’t create a huge hole.
@Teacherman1986 Julio inching toward a more rear-legged launch? Still appears pushy to me, but seems to be snapping from the rear hip socket more than before.
@12sunite@ProspectInsider It’s truly incredible how people can dismiss HLP out of hand without engaging in the underlying ideas behind it. It’s all just making fun of the drills that shape some of the best swings in the game. Tons of respect for Churchill but not sure where his anti-HLP stance comes from
@clownmalenko@maxdubler@PippengerHarlo@yhdistyminen BBU's comment pointed out that community input on a site-by-site basis isn't democratic. Matt's comment is about how zoning reform would allow for more democratic/better land use decisions by putting rules to a vote and applying them consistently.
The intellectual senescence of libertarianism is tragic
This should be their moment! Bad regs are causing America's biggest domestic problem. Zoning far outweighs any damage any other regulator ever did
But here's Cato going out of its way to minimize libertarian relevance
