BREAKING — The Nkabinde Report Has Been Released

I never claimed to have all the answers. I never asked for anyone to be convicted without a fair trial. I asked for the evidence to be examined — openly, independently and fairly.

I blew the whistle. I faced threats. I eventually left South Africa for my safety, but I kept my evidence consistenty, including photographs, videos, statements and other material because I believed that one day the evidence would have to speak for itself.

I later complied multiple times when aproached in Greece by the South African authorities and gave evidence.

Today, with the release of the Nkabinde Inquiry report, https://t.co/alY8xzP3B0 am humbled to see that some of the evidence I fought for has finally been recorded and considered.

The panel found my evidence uncontroverted.

- The report treats the photographs/videos as part of the record, not as a sideshow.

-The panel records, in substance, that I:was recruited and transferred with Booysen’s assistance;

-observed planted/stolen firearms, scene tampering, removal of spent cartridges on Booysen’s instructions, torture, and “trophy photos”;

-was allowed to photograph scenes and was given a journalist list for exclusive crime-scene photos;

-was present after the Berea shooting (CAS 288/05/2008) and doubted the official version;

-was approached by SAPS/NPA in 2012, 2015 and 2016;

-declined to return without security guarantees, but did not refuse to co-operate;

-signed a Greek statement via MLA, later translated by a court-appointed translator in 2018;

-reported intimidation and contact attempts by Booysen once he was identified as a potential state witness. ([421]–[448])

-It recognised me as the first witness to establish a similar-fact pattern of alleged racketeering.([490])

-It rejected the argument that my statement was unsigned and therefore unusable.

-It also rejected the claim that there was simply “no evidence.”

-Most importantly, the report found a prima facie case for Johan Booysen and members of the Cato Manor Unit to answer in court.([421]–[448])

I want to be very clear: a prima facie finding is not a criminal conviction.

I do not seek to prejudge the outcome of any criminal proceedings. Those accused must have the right to defend themselves, and the evidence must be tested properly before a court.

That is all I ever asked for.

I therefore receive this moment not with triumph, but with humility.

I am grateful that my evidence was finally given an opportunity to be heard.

For 20 years, I refused to give up because I believed that truth, accountability and human rights are worth defending — even when doing so comes at a personal cost.

Today, I hope the next chapter will be one of due process, transparency and justice.

Let the evidence be tested.

Let the accused have their rights.

Let the victims and their families have their day.

And let the truth be determined through a fair and open judicial process.

How exactly is Israel our greatest ally?
