@MorePerfectUS@UAW And so is Joe Biden. How can this piece of shit, sell-out bureaucrat loser endorse a ceasefire and Joe Biden in the same breath? All the fearmongering about white supremacy, racism, etc. is so hollow when the UAW keels to the same old. Fuck this guy.
@LovesTheWords Anybody would be a formidable contender against someone as unpopular as Kamala Harris. Doesn't mean that I would want Tulsi as POTUS at all though...
@thomasafine @Natan96009157 @ScottMStedman I think Joe Rogan's brand is that he doesn't play the same opportunistic ratings game as other hosts. He is known for just letting people talk and listening to them. I doubt he would intentionally let degeneracy happen.
@JDVance1 Other children wearing masks doesn't mean that children are "expected" to wear masks. What kind of logic is this?
On the other hand, you are actually trying to create an expectation that children should not wear masks, which actually does impede other people's freedom.
@davidhogg111 To clarify, I think people should wear masks however long they personally want. But I don't think that it should be a signaling tool because that is going to further the sense that getting vaccinated doesn't change anything among people who are not particularly risk averse.
@davidhogg111 If this is the case, which I kind of agree it is, I think we should really de-normalize the outdoor masking as an identification tool among liberals. Given the very low rate of outdoor transmission even among unvaccinated people, this is a very anti-vaccination message to send.
@MichLKosinski A large point of journalism is to hold the government accountable... you should be expecting these things even during the best of times!
@Qual3oBagulho2@yet_so_far I see how what I wrote can be taken that way. I don't disagree with that. I stand by my point with the acknowledgement that it needs elaboration. Pressed at the moment, but I'll try to reply with a short thread by this weekend.
@Qual3oBagulho2@yet_so_far I think it is v. possible we might be referring to different things by "material relations" and "materialistic life." Can you elaborate a bit more on the process of devolving into empty labor? Then I can either clarify my position or argue back depending on what exactly you mean.
@davidsirota@b1e56df9ce6549f Plot twist: because of heavy militarization, its actually a nuclear winter that kills us all.
(Obviously, both of these issues need to be taken care of, but then how will people in congress line their pockets?)
