Thane Metro is what happens when real estate, not transport planners, design transit. Instead of fast linear corridors putting every home within ~300 m of a station, the city got a circular ring that barely serves where actual Thanekars live. Excellent for future land value appreciation though—my builder and landowning childhood friends are thrilled 🤩
