@fatcatreviewz I had a gf who made me the worst cake I've ever seen for my birthday. Barely edible with pockets of pure baking soda.
It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me.
@luvrdom69 This has always been the case for like 20+ years in my experience, if you are getting delivery. It's always been the best strat to hit up the buffets instead.
Sounds like a person who got fired from the only job she was ever qualified for; becoming a professor at the school she got her useless PhD at. Her dissertation was probably about how racist snowmen are or something retarded like that.
Then naturally she goes back to school to become a librarian because she knows stuff about identities or whatever. Collages and Universities are cozy bubbles where everyone thinks and looks like her.
100 years ago, a person like this would have died from exposure or been eaten by a bear.
I thought the same until I got into PC gaming and experienced 100+ FPS in 4k. It's much like going from a compressed MP3 to Flac - you'll discover your favourite music all over again. It's also an indicator of quality. Charging a hefty premium for a product that can perform at the bare minimum like 30FPS in 2026 is the worst offender.
@monkey_kaworu@dvorstone Everyone is a slave to time and the Universe.
Better to be a slave to reality than a slave to TikTok brainrot where most of these Disney travel-the-world lifestyle expectations come from.
@owroot 1000's of wildfires happen each year over 700+ million acres of forest.
Smoke changes wildly depending on wind, topography, fire size, etc. and they can blow over populated areas.
Then people freak out like apes seeing an obelisk. Borders aren't magical forcefields.
@BBC0RPSE So much brainrot from climate change hysteria that people will just lay down and die.
"Record heatwave!" every single year. It's a ritual at this point.
10x more people die from the cold each year in the UK than the heat.
Fix your infrastructure, ignore the scary red maps.
@Amanda_Parsons@sockmoments I first heard it on Vancouver Isle when a newfie casually called someone a "dogfucker".
I asked what that was supposed to mean, and he responded "What are you doing right now?"
I said ".. nothing?"
"Dogfucker!"
