We cannot escape aging.
However, inflammation is a major accelerator of aging.
Lower your inflammation = slow down your aging
I will cover the tests that measure your inflammation levels to see where you stand.

“I think I could make you 50% a year on $1 million. No, I know I could. I guarantee that."
Buffett used to achieve annual returns of over 50%.
But he didn't do it with the strategy he preaches today.
I studied Buffett’s Letters from 1956-1966. Here's his strategy:
1. Categories of Investing
Buffett used to distinguish between 3 categories of Investments.
In 1964, he decided to add a fourth one:
- Generals
- Private Owner Basis
- Work-Outs
- Control Situations
- Generals Relatively Undervalued (added in 1964)
1.1. Generals
Generals were disliked, overlooked, and thus undervalued.
They had no visible catalysts and could take years before they played out.
This was the largest category of the portfolio and mainly consisted of five to six positions, each weighted at 5-10% of total assets.
1.2. Work-Outs
"Work-outs" is a term that isn't used anymore in the investment world.
Today, such situations are known as “Special Situations.”
The price of these situations doesn’t depend on supply and demand created by buyers and sellers but on corporate action.
This makes them more predictable and less correlated to the market.
Common examples are mergers, bankruptcies, or restructures.
1.3. Control Situations
In these investments, Buffett bought enough stake to actively influence the policies of a company.
Sometimes, he bought the whole company.
The timeframe for these situations was several years since it took time for the businesses to react to the changes.
And often even more time until the market realizes the change within the company.
As with the work-outs, there’s little correlation with the general market.
Many companies that Buffett eventually turned into Control Situations started out as Generals.
1.4. Generals Relatively Undervalued
This category was added in 1964.
It consists of companies undervalued compared to companies with the same characteristics.
It’s crucial that you compare apples to apples here.
Very few companies are so similar that a comparison between them is fair.
A big problem with this category is the possibility of a general overvaluation in an industry or the whole market.
If you buy the cheapest company in an overall expensive market, you still buy expensive stocks.
Because of this, the market environment did play a role in these investments, and Buffett demanded an extra high relative undervaluation.
2. Conservatism and Diversification
“True conservatism is only possible through knowledge and reason.”
Buffett disagrees with the conventional definition of conservatism.
Buying government bonds, blue chip stocks, and being (over)diversified.
He calls over-diversification the “Noah School of Investing - Two of Everything.”
There are no conservative assets by default.
And being right isn’t measured by how many people hold that opinion.
It’s measured by the facts.
3. The Right Yardstick
Before deploying any capital, you need to have a yardstick in place.
Something you can measure your success and methods with.
If not, opportunity costs by underperforming can cost you enormous amounts of money in the long run.
"We feel it is essential that investors and investment managers establish standards of performance and, regularly and objectively, study their own results just as they study their investments."
4. The Superior Investing Style?
Interestingly, almost all of the great investors started with a strategy similar to this.
The reason for that is that this strategy does exceptionally well at quickly maximizing returns.
Once you build a sizable portfolio, a couple million dollars, the universe of stocks you can invest in gets smaller.
That's why most investors then switch to a high-quality company approach that focuses on compounding through buy and hold.
