I have a new cool handle on the other app and it's like mental health SPA out there. Nothing but gamedev posts. And actual engagement.
Just logged in to recommend moving out and logging out before the toxic slime reaches me.
Cheers!
@southtexasgrit@MeriwetherFarms Does current government ever did anything wrong, was corrupt or made any mistakes in your eyes or is it always "the others"?
@SirRetsnom@LegendaryEnergy Not a single sane person should be justifying this clownery during the times like these (or any times) and yet here you are. The target audience for "pool length vs skyscraper height" charts.
Changed it to an zone-trigger (common in my game), lost quite a bit of juice, control and responsiveness... And it performs even worse than control-scheme-breaking "click here to upgrade". Wild. Anyone want to give my onboarding (web) a test? #gamedev#indiedev
How do you design games for modern audiences when 30% of mobile web players drop out at the onboarding step where they have to upgrade their apple tree?

@Ransomwavee@ElevatedRBX They probably tweaked some stuff behind the scenes (or it was technical delays), because I have an old dead (really dead, not 100CCU dead) game that shot from 200 to 500 after initial wave of outrage. Other game got +100 after multiple +5 days.
@FreeSolGamesDev If you're interested and have 1 minute of time you can see how it plays out here (maybe I'm missing something obvious): https://t.co/bQ7ahx3Kcf

@FreeSolGamesDev It's already pretty isolated naturally, imho. My guess is that it's either presented too soon (my reasoning was that I want them to earn more to make the next onboarding steps easier) or they just don't want to lift a finger off the joystick.
And my biggest mistake in multiple of games was giving all of the outfits to purchase instantly instead of doing some kind of rarity/drop system or something similar.
This forest restaurant is run by a chef pig and the game is available for testing and feedback-ing!
As is tradition around these parts, the link is in replies, otherwise the post will get super hidden.
