@MomsPostingLs Isn't the sentence correct? He's not saying "2.6% of black men are physicians". He's saying "I join the 2.6% of black men who are physicians". This implies he's joined the 2.6% of physicians who are black. No?
@ExplodeJudea@miglet35@milkteaspill@Bossofbean55@SarcasticCupcak@billybinion All the sergeant has done is propagate more hatred. That will not make planet Earth better. The child's family will mourn the loss of their child, as they should. And the sergeant will now not contribute to society, while also leaving his own family in tatters.
@ExplodeJudea@miglet35@milkteaspill@Bossofbean55@SarcasticCupcak@billybinion He might have. He might not have. I am not a seer, nor will I pretend to be. What I do know, is that laws exist for a reason. And while stealing a car is once more, bad, and deserving of consequences, it is not deserving of death.
@ExplodeJudea@Bossofbean55@billybinion The child was 14. We all make mistakes as children. And yes, attempted car theft is worse than most, but it is very far removed from deserving death. It was not just, nor right, to shoot him. A judicial system exists, utilise it.
@ProsafiaGaming I think a big element is that people who use Steam, often prefer playing on a strong machine. Hence the whole "PC > console" that so many say. A handheld typically lacks some of that strength. And frankly, with the chokehold Nintendo has, is anyone surprised?
@blackcatasshole@TheMagaHulk@JackPosobiec Children unfortunately don't particularly have the capability to support any clause, for the same reasons they cant vote or consent. They're children. Brains are putty. Be for real.
@byzen23@FireFlyJars@kaizerislost@dalek_sci @tokyoxkenshin64 They are likely a child. Children do not always know how to react, how to explain their emotions properly. Calling them 'not right in the head' is not necessary. Children will cry over literal spilt milk. This seems trivially normal in a childish way.
@hugeshirefan @warrantedshoota @groipa@JDVance Now I'm not American myself, but that doesn't quite sound right.
Civil Rights Act, 1866
14th amendment
Last time I checked, both were American. Yet they seem to disagree with that notion of yours.
@mastodonkey@ninaturner And when their ruminations did not have to extend too far beyond their day-to-day, the prospect of bringing children into the world is a very different one than it is on today's Earth.
@mastodonkey@ninaturner In a sick twist of cosmic humour, us having more free time is what made us so pessimistic towards life. So with all these factors in mind, it is of very small surprise to me that people back then would have kids more often than now. They lived simpler lives, not easier, simpler.
@RileyHellsing@frailstate_xx@queenyennifer_ Not the teachers. It sucks, but I'd first make sure I have my own bases covered as far as education of my child is concerned, and then following THAT, I'd look to see what the teachers are potentially doing wrong themselves.
@RileyHellsing@frailstate_xx@queenyennifer_ That's a fair question. It does not change the fact that if YOUR child suffers, the teachers won't have to deal with thar the rest of their lives, the children will. Teachers could be doing better. Parents could too. Which of the two will realistically have more of a stake? 1/2
