History is set to repeat in an ugly and cruel way if the news of Abiy coming to Hargeisa pans out. HSM will confront a bad precedence he set himself.

Little over 4 years ago, Here was @HassanSMohamud in attendance listening to @HonAdenDuale, then the speaker of Kenyan parliament who flew in military plane daringly ignoring Somalia’s expressed warning of violations of its sovereignty.

HSM as former president & a candidate knew better. He chose to clap for foreign officials who violated the sovereignty of the country he once led and was vying to lead all because it was a means to a personal ambition even if it came at expenses of the nation. If Abiy lands at Igal Airport and receives the kind of endorsement & reception he’ll; as injurious as it may to psyche of collective consciousness, the president will find himself between past bad judgment & costly weaknesses.
