@jacko2954@JeremyCapoeira@katewillett They don't have absolute control, but they have leverage. Previously they'd threatened to blackball any consultants or 3rd parties that worked with people primarying incumbents. They could do that to groups that support AIPACs work which would make them less effective.
@TheSportsDog@JeremyCapoeira@katewillett So they dumped $14m just because they wanted to burn money then? They clearly either didn't think Bowman would lose or want credit for Bowman losing.
@1Joecostantine@Charalanahzard Judges don't make determinations on the rightness or wrongness of actions. They only make rulings on legality. That's an important distinction.
@withlove17 @DGleecia@nathan_rudman@OTC_Bitcoin@JasperShreds@dvassallo In TX, at least when I turned 16, you were not required to take an actual driving test. I took an online course, a multiple choice test, and my parents signed a thing that said they drove with me for a required number of hours.
@JamesDeroest@MorePerfectUS Pensioners is an interesting choice of words since corporate greed is literally why almost no one in the private sector has a pension anymore. Taxing profits like this incentives companies to provide better benefits since they won't gain as much for withholding them.
@tdraicer@scottsantens Implementing good policy like this helps fight the threat of fascism here. If the Dems focus only on beating the Reps and not on policy then they'll never actually overcome them.
@YetiMoose@scottsantens That article doesn't make a claim that people were more likely to quit their jobs though. It just says that people were unemployed slightly longer. That should probably be expected, as people can hold out for better jobs when they know their basic needs are already met.
@Awesomedude119 @Jubilee4Jesus @BrittRooted@ZachWLambert He wasn't. He didn't even invent communism. You just don't have any idea what you're trying to talk about. Look up any of the context around him (and Engles) writing the Communist Manifesto. I'm begging you; do the most basic research on this.
@UncensoredMan83@uwsfinanceguy@billhinds302 @RTMannJr No. By that logic stealing should be illegal simply because it's in the 10 commandments. Being against stealing isn't a uniquely religious value though so it can still be made illegal.
