Police only handcuffed Henry as he was bleeding out.

And it took police 8 minutes before discovering that he had been wounded.

🇩🇪 Many know the more common 20th century usage of the 14 words phrase, but have you ever heard of what was done to 14 million German civilians, children, and the elderly from these three areas alone—after WWII?

Between 1944 and 1950, Allied forces and Soviet authorities forcibly expelled approximately 14 million ethnic Germans from Pomerania, Silesia, and East Prussia. Pushed out of land and homes which had been in their families for centuries.

NATO officials made it happen amidst chaos, deliberately driving women, children, and disabled seniors out of their homes during extreme cold weather conditions, using deliberate starvation policies; approximately 2.6 million civilians (including children) died, and thousands of toddlers and children were left to fend for themselves, forever.

Did you ever read about any of this in high school? College? Anywhere? No one ever tells you about what happened to the 14 million completely innocent Germans.

In 1884, Ulysses S. Grant was dying of throat cancer and was dead broke.

His money was wiped out by a swindler who stole his fortune.

Desperate to leave something for his wife, he agreed to write his Civil War memoirs and was close to signing a contract for a meager 10% royalty.

Mark Twain stepped in, called the deal robbery and offered Grant 70% of the profits through his own publishing company.

Grant raced death to finish the book, completing it just days before he died in July 1885.

It became one of the greatest memoirs ever written.

The royalties left his widow nearly half a million dollars, about $16 million today, and the book has never gone out of print.

On June 5th Israel attacked the home of world famous Lebanese sea turtle conservationist Mona Khalil. Mona was hospitalized with burns and injuries to over 70% of her body.

Yesterday, June 19th, Mona died from her injuries.

This wasn’t an accident. They didn’t make a mistake. Mona’s home was also where she ran her sea turtle conservatory- which she aptly named the Orange House Project- because, after all, her house was painted top to bottom in a deep, bright orange, the color of a late summer sunset.

The Orange House Project has been in operation for almost 30 years. You can find it on Facebook and Google Maps, along with dozens of reviews from visitors over the years.

So no, it wasn’t an accident or a mistake. Israel knew exactly what it was doing when it bombed the Orange House Project on June 5th.

It’s exactly what they’ve been doing since the war with Iran started: ethnically cleansing all of Southern Lebanon so they can steal the land and occupy it for themselves.

UAE: Remittances
The world's highest-migrant-share workforce sends money home through banks that skim 6%+ a transfer. Bitcoin moves it for a fraction

Vietnam: Bank-account control
The state deactivated 86M+ bank accounts in a single "AML sweep". I personally spoke to people this happened to who lost their savings. They had left Vietnam years before, and found the account that held their money simply closed. A bank that can freeze you for going quiet is the whole argument for holding your own keys.

Philippines: Remittances
Overseas workers wire billions home each year. Bitcoin rails undercut the high-fee operators they are otherwise forced to use.

Iran: Sanctions
Locked out of the dollar system, Iran mines its subsidised energy into Bitcoin and spends it on imports the banks can't touch.

Brazil: Inflation hedge
Brazilians hold Bitcoin as hard money against a currency that keeps losing ground, and as a serious investment asset

Venezuela: Hyperinflation
As the bolivar collapses, Venezuelans move savings into Bitcoin to hold value the state can't erase

El Salvador: Day-to-day transactions
The IMF stripped the legal-tender mandate in 2025, so nobody has to touch Bitcoin. But ~ 1 in 10 Salvadorians still do anyway, by choice. One story that moved me was of a rural Salvadorian who used Bitcoin to pay his utility bill so he didn't have to have a half-day round trip to the nearest bank each month.

Ukraine: War
When ATMs capped withdrawals and savings froze, Bitcoin crossed borders money couldn't, and funded the defence.

Argentina: Inflation.
After decades of a falling peso, Argentines save in Bitcoin to protect what their melting-icecube currency keeps eroding.

South Africa: Hedging the rand.
The rand has devalued 8x against the USD since 2000. A weak, volatile currency and a deep investor base push South Africans into Bitcoin as an alternative asset

Notice the common theme? With the exception of US/Thailand/Saudi (Investment) and Singapore (Zero Capital Gains Tax) all the other countries are using Bitcoin to solve problems that affect basic livelihood in ways most of us struggle to imagine even being necessary in the West.

There is a name for this: "Solipsistic". It means treating one's own experience as the only reality.
