• I tried Stanford's OpenJarvis. It’s easy, lean, and great for composing efficient agents.
• My eyes are on @SomiProject for something more personal out of the box. Testing later.

An Update to SOMI Framework 🦢

Somi already has more than a toy agent shell on my latest upgrades that will get merged soon:

- A split modular runtime instead of the original monoliths
- A real desktop shell in PySide6
- A control room and coding studio
- A local-first speech stack
- A coding toolbox with managed workspaces
- A state plane, ontology plane, workflow runtime, subagents, automations, learning plane, and control plane
- Telegram integration, OCR stack, research routes, artifacts, reminders, and background heartbeat behavior
- Regression tests, audit scripts, and live stress harnesses

Somi is already notably stronger than competitors in these areas:

- Native desktop identity and operator experience
- Local-first execution on consumer hardware
- Windows-friendly posture
- Strong modularity direction after the large file splits
- Integrated voice, coding, control-room, and agent runtime in one framework

Somi is still weaker than the best competitors in these areas and I'm working on it before the larger merge:

- Gateway maturity and multi-surface control
- Skill ecosystem breadth and install UX
- Doctoring, audit, and auto-repair surfaces
- Coding-runtime rigor for real SWE workflows
- Browser automation and remote node surfaces
- Security posture communication and trust-boundary clarity
- Packaging and first-run onboarding
- Publicly obvious "wow" features that make people immediately understand why they should use it
