TONIGHT, it will beat both #US’ 175.1M & #GetOut’s 175.8M runs, then by SAT it’ll beat #TheConjuringLastRites’ 177.7M & by SUN it will beat #AQuietPlace 188M run as the #7 highest grossing horror EVER domestically.

The film itself had a ridiculously low under 1M production price tag, and #Focus paid only 15M to acquire the global distribution rights from producers (sans France, Russia, Australia & NZ).

Both sides seeing their investment paying off greatly.

Once again, the 220M, which were the ceiling, now seem to be the new floor if #Focus plays their cards right and managed to keep their current theatrical footprint and the film away from digital for as long as possible.

XBOX clarifying exclusivity, correcting false claims, and outlining guardrails isn’t confusing. It’s inconvenient for people who rely on ambiguity to drive engagement.

When they say nothing, they’re directionless; when they make user‑centric decisions, they’re chasing “cheap wins.” Convenient.

The “industry confusion” you cited is largely manufactured by:
• commentators who misrepresent XBOX’s statements
• media outlets that reshape nuance into clickbait narratives
• influencers who benefit from perpetual outrage

The new XBOX leadership is doing the work that should’ve been done years ago: cutting through noise, correcting false narratives, and restoring clarity around the brand.

* The sequence of the baby Cyamodus hatching from the beach was cute, and obviously inspired by sea turtle hatchings. But it is likely they had internal births, particularly if ichthyosaurs and sauropterygians form a clade (as nearly all recent studies have been finding.) 8/

Quibbles and Comments:
* The Siberian Traps were NOT a rift event!!!!! They were an intracratonic large igneous province. Nothing tore apart there. When they get to the Triassic/Jurassic event, THAT is the breakup of Pangaea.

* "Alphas" in animals without large aggregations isn't really a thing. Furthermore, continued use of this term promotes a concept co-opted by the manosphere community, and the sooner it goes away, the better.
