Reflecting on the first quarter of 2026, I’m so thankful to have taken part in cross government work combating IUU Fishing by enhancing traceability tools. Aiding teams to create meaningful change to ensure sustainable fisheries in Sri Lanka. What a fantastic start to 2026! 🇱🇰
Boatability course completed ✅
Safety at sea is paramount. I’m looking forward to getting back to sea soon and continuing to do meaningful work to protect the oceans.
Big thanks to Nick and the team at @boatability for a fantastic week and the knowledge shared!
❄️ With one week left till CCAMLR, our final Antarctic Governance 101 lesson looks back at how far we’ve come and what’s still ahead for protecting the Southern Ocean. 🌊 Collaboration has delivered big wins before. It can again. 💙

6000 birds!!
I’ve been birdwatching my whole life, and part of that is keeping track of all the different bird species you have seen 💚 Today, I reached a life list total of 6000 bird species - the bird that tipped me over the edge being Indian Bush Lark 🪶

I was very lucky to spend the New year in New Zealand. I’m blown away by the landscapes but also by the connection and protection of the land and sea. 🇳🇿
What a turnout! Thousands of people have marched today for our rivers and seas. 💙
Thank you to our staff and volunteers who helped give our ocean a voice and demand action from UK governments. Together, we can stop pollution and restore seas and rivers. #MarchForCleanWater
A visit to the @NHM_London is always a good idea! If you are in London go look at the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. It reminds me of how in awe I am of the natural world and inspires me to keep doing all I can to keep it alive for future generations. 📸
I’ve been quiet as I’ve been managing a knee injury 🥹 It’s a set back but I’m taking it as a sign my body needs to rest.
I’m itching to get better so I can go back to work or find my next adventure until then R+R. Any book or documentary recommendations? 📚📺
