@adamolivierwx You didn't happen to mention severe potential. I saw a severe hail, near NOLA, plus a 50mph gust warning for St. Mary parish. Do you think severe potential will increase in addition to the flood threat?
@DaveBakerTV@robperillo High end rates I've seen for the area 7.1"/10 days. Doubled = 14"/10 days. Storms are already training 2-3" per hour, for multiple hrs, today alone. Unlikely to be the only day storms train/move slow all week. Could we, hopefully not, see August 2016 rates this week?
@DaveBakerTV Wow! Do you think we'll still have 2-3" per hour like we've had lately? That 5pm radar seemed to show the heavy storm line crawling slowly, if not stationary for a while, over many of the same areas for almost 3 hours.
@adamolivierwx Wow! Not good. Radar shows the next two big storms (right) following closely behind current training (left). Do you think structures will become impacted, not to mention severe potential? This is crazy. The atmosphere is forgetting to stabilize.

RIP Chuck Norris. My favorite action star of all time. I was a big fan of his movies and Walker, Texas Ranger was one of my favorite TV shows. Prayers up for Chuck and his family and friends. ๐
@adamolivierwx@AmberMyles1991 This eases my concern for flooding because the city told me they don't give sandbags unless forecasters recommend it, but these will be severe storms. Hopefully we're not under severe conditions for 4 or 5 hours even if flooding doesn't get out of hand. Stay safe.
@DaveBakerTV Hi Dave! The city told me they only give sandbags if forecasters recommend it. I saw this (pictured below). Predictive radar has the storm line slanting, training over Lafayette 4-5 hrs but the GRAF keeps a solid line moving through sooner.
@robperillo Hi Rob. Do you think the Predictive or GRAF is more reliable? Predictive slants the storm line keeping it over Lafayette 4-5 hrs and GRAF keeps a solid line moving through sooner. Asking because the city told me they'd only issue sandbags if forecasters recommend it.
@DaveBakerTV Hi Dave. Thx for keeping us updated. Question for afternoon plans. You wrote that rainfall remains light with no severe wx today, but I saw this before seeing your link. This predicts several hours of hvy rain and maybe some strong wx. Does your model show this or is this wrong?
Some people hate when I post about Jesus.
Some people leave vile comments on my Jesus posts.
I donโt care! I will continue to praise the name of Jesus for all He has done in my life here and everywhere! Jesus died for me, the least I can do is live for Him!
Whoโs with me?
