🚨 VANCE JUST ASKED THE QUESTION EUROPE CAN’T ANSWER

VP JD Vance did not talk about treaties, diplomacy, or budget lines—
he cut right to the pressure point:

“Do you think the American taxpayer will stand for that if you get thrown in jail in Germany for a mean tweet?”

That line detonated the whole conversation.

Because it exposes the hypocrisy no EU official can outrun:

How can Europe claim “shared values” with the United States while it:— jails citizens over speech,
— criminalises views on borders,
— cancels elections when results are inconvenient,
— and silences dissent instead of debating it?

That is not democracy.

That is insecurity enforced by law.

Vance said aloud what everyone else whispers:

Friendship is not a subsidy.

It is not automatic.
It requires shared values.

America did not defend Europe for decades
so Europe could turn its people into defendants for opinions.

This landed hard—because it’s true.

In three days, the strike against Tesla will have lasted for two years…
The strangest, longest, most foolish, most destructive, most affected, most impactful, and above all, most unnecessary strike in modern Swedish history.

Often, it is the union that triumphs – otherwise, far fewer collective agreements would have been signed. This time, however, they met resistance – they are fighting one of the world’s most powerful companies, with resources, global influence, and conditions that attract employees without forcing them into a collective agreement.”

“Elon Musk and Tesla represent the future – innovation, technology, and a new view of work. IF Metall defends an order from the last century. The question is what Sweden wants to be: a country that welcomes the companies of the future or one that opposes them if they do not bend to yesterday’s structures.”

It’s not about the employees’ conditions but about the mafia-like IF Metall wanting more power, influence, and, not least, a share of Tesla’s success. The fact that private individuals (all electric vehicle owners) and, above all, companies are affected, forced to lay off staff due to reduced orders, and perhaps even shut down, is of no concern to them. Who would want a work partner that acts like this?

The Union’s Fight Against Tesla – A Battle for Power, Not Justice

The Swedish model is often praised as a model for cooperation between employers and unions, but the conflict between IF Metall and Tesla reveals a different reality. Legal rights and union actions can lead to situations where one party’s freedom of action is limited by the other’s behavior. This is what Dick Holmgren writes in an editorial in Epoch Times.

Tesla complies with Swedish law, offers competitive wages, flexible working hours, and good conditions, but refuses a collective agreement. For this, the company faces a boycott that is, in practice, pure extortion.

The strike threatens operations, puts innocent subcontractors in a bind, and directly affects customers. Electric vehicles are delayed, service is unavailable, and companies dependent on Tesla’s products are forced to cancel projects. Even small local businesses are impacted – the entire value chain is affected. Is this reasonable in a country that claims to value freedom, innovation, and adherence to the law?

The conflict, ongoing for two years since October 27, 2023, is the longest in modern Swedish history. IF Metall has mobilized thirteen unions in sympathy actions. On October 20, 2025, Seko announced a blockade of telecom services, halting all communication and related work for Tesla. On the same day, IF Metall announced a stop to elevator maintenance, preventing repairs in Tesla’s buildings. Previous measures include halting cleaning services, blocking charging stations and truck services, and filing police reports against subcontractors working for Tesla in Kalmar. These actions disrupt operations and also affect customers and third-party companies.

Many Tesla mechanics do not want to strike. According to Tesla, their wages and benefits often exceed the industry average. Yet they are affected, despite being satisfied with their conditions. The fight is said to be in their name – but what happens when they don’t want to be represented?

Is this justice or power politics disguised as solidarity? When those who work are punished while strikers receive compensation, it raises the question of who truly benefits from the conflict.

This points to a deeper problem in the Swedish model – a kind of union paternalism. Only the union is deemed entitled to decide what constitutes reasonable conditions, regardless of what the employees themselves think.

Even if a company offers better wages and greater freedom than a collective agreement provides, it is not seen as legitimate. A model built for cooperation thus becomes a system where consent is replaced by coercion.
