Pat Fitzgerald was the perfect hire for MSU.
The media has completely fallen asleep on this. ESPN called it the worst hire of the entire cycle…insane.
This guy is a Spartan.
600,000 alumni.
Different careers.
Different politics.
Different generations.
Different experiences.
Yet somehow finding common ground.
That alone should get people's attention.
Tom Izzo is questioning Michigan’s Elected Board System.
“Michigan’s having problems, too. Some of this is the way our boards are selected. They are elected, not selected. We’re one of only four states in the whole country that are that way. There’s a reason. It’s probably not working well.”

As Michigan State University’s governing board splinters over dissenting trustees and the departure of President Kevin Guskiewicz, an academic expert says the conflict reflects a board that has lost sight of what trustees are for. https://t.co/jmkMSvetPn
.@michiganstateu we love you, but it's time the good overtake the bad on campus. Enough is enough.
We will not move on from this until we see the changes necessary to get our university back to where it belongs.
We're 600,000 Strong, and we won't stand down until we see change.
50% of our Board of Trustees have never stepped foot in a lecture hall at Michigan State. One has a vendetta against the school for getting rid of the swimming pool. Another only spends a few months a year living in the state. Our institution has been overrun with non-Spartans
Starting this account because I'm tired, and I know a lot of you are as well.
We went to the greatest university, but on-campus "leaders" are ruining it.
It's not permanent, but it's time for common-sense Spartans to rise up.
Follow to show we have strength in numbers #GoGreen
Imagine being an MSU Administrator & seeing this & knowing this guy detests you so much that he’s trying to mobilize hundreds of thousands of people to pressure you to quit your job (because you continuously harm & embarrass the University).
But these folks have no shame.
