@mcuban Meanwhile, corporate tax revenue has fallen off a cliff, so the burden of that increase tax revenue has fallen disproportionately on individuals, even as corporate profits have skyrocketed.
@mcuban@mcuban Equally important is that even if student loans were forgiven, converted to investments, they've paid for themselves. US tax revenues are almost 50% per capita higher than 40 years ago adjusted for inflation. Degree holders earn more, higher earners pay higher taxes.
@jackshafer@politico Equating state-sponsored whackjob propaganda outlets with independent whackjob conspiracy theory outlets seems like false equivalence to me.
@bballbreakdown@bballbreakdown Any thoughts on Mobley's footwork progress since he's been tasked with creating his own shot more the last 4 games? Haven't seen him picking up his pivot too early. Saw a questionable one, but the move was quick and decisive, hard for a ref to call anything.
@bballbreakdown You're not wrong about Mobley's footwork, but cmon... Nothing about his passing? Hard to go beyond the stat line without considering the high-level passing for a rookie big man. Or his huge 4th quarter against the Celtics last month?

@JeremyWoo Alright, but how are you going to call Darius Garland a shoot-first guard? The guy is averaging barely 11 FGA per game and 8 ast? Not to mention all the turnovers he commits by looking to pass when he should just shoot.
@AltSpaceForce1 @faye_morgann@AP Also, did this lab-grown "heart" develop into a fully functional human being? What did they do with this lab-grow "heart?" Did they have to keep it and nurture it forever since it had a so-called "heartbeat?"
@AltSpaceForce1 @faye_morgann@AP They defined the term "fetal heartbeat" but the definition included "fetal heart," which is not defined and has no medical definition.
@zumra_a@Naajiz@Nahshal_Mohd I think we have to ask ourselves if we really want to live the rest of our lives wondering what if it wasn't a virus? So many doors left unopened...
@chuckbrownson @clay_mcch@coach_twalk Forget HS economics, @clay_mcch. First, go back to home economics and learn how a household budget works. What is the largest fixed monthly expense any household has? Housing and utilities. Are those costs affected by increased min. wage. No. Minimum wage workers come out on top.
@TimAlberta One thing stood that stood out to me was that even though you seemed to have a pretty wide swath represented, I didn't see any "leftists," let alone radical ones. Is this because you didn't look for them, they don't read @politico or because they aren't very prevalent?
@BigBluBlogger@geoffreyvs Then we can finally start moving on to 4 more years of Beltway gridlock followed by the messiest primary season in a long time and possibly an even weirder election in 2024. #Muuurica#WhereAmazingHappens
@BigBluBlogger@geoffreyvs Plus Trump was massively over-performing compared to 2016 almost everywhere in PA until they started counting absentees. I think that's a solid indicator that absentees skew Dem even more than we assumed.
@politico The PA legislature guaranteed "free & equal" elections in the state constitution. State Supreme Court has right to interpret constitutionality of laws. Military/overseas votes are counted after Nov. 3, so it's unconstitutional to treat other absentee ballots differently.
